Why this edition
The 2024 edition brought several substantive changes. It added a reference to ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI 6060 for medical gas system designers, revised the maximum allowable quantity limits for medical gas and cryogenic fluid central supply systems, added pressure-drop calculations and limits, introduced a section on withdrawing cryogenic liquids for use in liquid form, and added new emergency management requirements. Hyperbaric chamber pressure relief and dental gas and vacuum requirements were also revised.
