Product Description

This four-book Project Management Institute (PMI) set includes the PMBOK® Guide Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Editions together with the Agile Practice Guide, giving PMP candidates and project managers every current and recent PMI framework in one order.

The three PMBOK editions represent three different ways PMI has described project management. The Sixth Edition (2017) is the process-based standard with 49 processes across ten knowledge areas, still the backbone of many prep courses and corporate methodologies. The Seventh Edition (2021) replaced processes with principles and performance domains. The Eighth Edition, released in 2025, brings process guidance back alongside the principles and strengthens agile and hybrid integration. The Agile Practice Guide complements all three.

What's included

  • A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), Sixth Edition
  • A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), Seventh Edition, with The Standard for Project Management
  • A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), Eighth Edition
  • Agile Practice Guide
  • All four new, English editions published by the Project Management Institute

Who it's for

PMP® candidates whose course material mixes Sixth Edition processes with Seventh Edition principles, which describes most prep courses on the market; PMO leaders aligning a company methodology to the Eighth Edition; instructors and corporate trainers who teach across editions; and PMI-ACP® candidates who want the Agile Practice Guide with the standards it references.

Why this set

The PMP exam content outline does not map to a single PMBOK edition, and questions about inputs and outputs, principles, and agile practices can all appear. Serious candidates often end up buying two or three editions over the course of their study. This set front-loads that purchase and adds the agile guide, so nothing is missing when a practice question cites an unfamiliar framework.

Frequently asked questions

Is the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition the current edition?

Yes. PMI released the Eighth Edition in 2025 and it is the latest PMBOK Guide. The Sixth and Seventh remain in wide use for training and reference.

Do I need all three PMBOK editions for the PMP exam?

Not strictly, but many candidates find the Sixth Edition clearest on processes and the Seventh and Eighth clearest on principles and tailoring. Having all three removes the guesswork about which one your course is quoting.

Are these paperback editions?

Yes. All four books are PMI paperback editions.
